How is Newton Pay integrated?

Through an HTTP interface with three operations: create an instruction, read its status, receive the notice. The shape is the same in the interface and on the screen. One key per merchant, revocable at any time. Integration is prepared with our team and enabled per merchant.

What happens on a timeout or a duplicate call?

Nothing twice. Every instruction carries a reference from your system. The same reference a second time returns the same entry with the same final status, not a second payment. A retry is therefore always safe.

How is the route chosen?

Before the instruction, not after it. Card, SIC, SEPA, or a supervised ramp for stablecoins. The chosen route and the counterparty sit on the record, so every payment can be attributed unambiguously later.

How does month-end reconciliation work?

Through one record per payment, from checkout to notice. Collection and payout are separate lines, with currency, rate and time. A refund or a partial amount is a new line, not a correction of the old one. The statement reconciles because nothing is overwritten.

How are fees and exchange rates disclosed?

Every deduction sits on a line that names it. On a currency conversion, the rate applied and the moment it was taken are on the record. A fee does not disappear into the supplier amount.

How does name screening work?

Before the instruction. Payer, beneficiary and beneficial owners are checked against sanctions and name lists. A hit stops the instruction and a named person decides. The list, its vintage and the decision are in the entry.

How secure are the notices sent to my system?

Accepted Answer

Every notice is signed so your system can verify where it came from. A repeated delivery does not change the final status, so you can process notices idempotently.

Which currencies and routes are covered?

The core is francs and euros over SIC and SEPA, complemented by card payments. Which routes are enabled for you is agreed together during integration.

Who is Newton Pay for?

Companies that collect payments from abroad or pass them on to suppliers: merchants, platforms, corporate clients with an invoice number. Not consumers.
